Stop Polar Bear Trophy Hunting!

Polar bears already face a daunting future because of global warming, oil and gas exploration and toxic chemical pollution. But there's another threat that many Americans aren't aware of trophy hunting.
The United States does not allow sport hunting of polar bears in their Alaskan habitat. But more than half of the world's polar bears live in Canada, where hunting is legal. And due to a huge loophole in the Marine Mammal Protection Act, American trophy hunters can travel to Canada, kill a polar bear, and bring back polar bear trophies.
From 2002-2005, a total of 298 requests were made by US citizens to import sport hunted polar bear trophies from Canada. Of these, 252 - a staggering 85 percent - were issued.
We may not be able to stop Canada from allowing hunting, but we can stop the U.S. from allowing Americans to import polar bear trophies. Please act today and urge the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to stop issuing polar bear trophy permits immediately!

Please stop issuing trophy permits for polar bears. These are living, breathing, majestic beasts that deserve to exist freely on earth where God put them, not as art on some self-centered human's wall. In it completely INHUMANE to murder these gorgeous animals so that some insecure man can "prove his superiority" to himself and his lame friends. You must stop this practice, PLEASE. Let these beasts live in peace.

Stop trophy hunting of this threatened species. God gave us dominion over the plants and animals of the earth, but we have to be good stewards of that gift. Animals should never ever be killed purely as trophies. Life is very valuable and precious to all that have it and under normal circumstances no living thing wants to die--even the insect scurries to escape death. No animal should be killed unless it is needed for food or survival, or to control some problem caused by it. To kill an animal for sport whose species is threatened is the most heinous act of all. Make a stand for what is right and do something to save these beautiful creatures!
