Keep Foster Children Off the Street
Target: U.S. SenateSponsored by: Covenant House
One in five foster children grow up to be homeless adults. Many of these children are forced to leave their homes due to physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse, but the state child welfare systems responsible for their well-being lack the tools needed to meet their complex needs.
The Reconnecting Youth to Prevent Homelessness Act attempts to break the vicious cycle that disconnects these children from the help they need. The act supports these young people by: strengthening federal child welfare systems, extending their access to support services, and amending the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program to improve access to benefits.
Every child deserves a chance to succeed no matter where they grow up or who raises them. Urge your senators to support S.2560, the Reconnecting Youth to Prevent Homelessness Act.

It is important to help foster children because EVERY child deserves to have a chance at a good life. Children are the future, and that includes Foster children, don't turn your back on them. Not just for foster children, But, ALL CHILDREN. These children is are fucture adults that will say what is to happen for the next genaration! Plus, No Child should be left be hind!!!!! I beleave that should allso mean children that will be adults and to be on thier own! I am a single foster parent and I try to find all the help I can get now for my foster children and I have 3 adopted children that was my foster children and all three have specail needs and I will do what ever it takes to make sure they will become adults that will have help are be able to take care of them selfs!They will NOT be lost or left behind in any way !!!!!!!
