Sponsored by: Mama Cash
Throughout history, countless women have planned, organized, lectured, wrote, marched, petitioned, lobbied and broke new ground in every field imaginable.

The lives of women have been changed forever – but there’s still so much more to do for women’s rights around the globe.

The 88 days between Dec. 10 and March 8 - International Human Rights Day and International Women's Day – is a time to make women's rights a special priority. We're already halfway there. Now is the time to Act!

You can contribute to a better world for women and girls! Pledge to do your part during these 88 days and convert your personal power into action and awareness.

Your pledge can be as simple as sharing your opinion on women's rights, or reading an article - or it can be as large as hosting a dinner party in honor of womens' rights, taking part in an event or making a speech.

Make your pledge to make women’s rights a special priority today!

Living in Asia, where women's rights are commonly ignored, I'm going to educate myself more on the issues facing women here and do what I can to combat sexism.

I hope that more women in violent domestic situations will be able to get the help that they need and realise that its not their fault.

I have a dream...that one day, men and women will truly be treated as equals...and each and every day, I go out into the world, and work to make that dream a reality. Whether it be by petitioning for women's equality at work, or hosting women's empowerment workshops out of my home. I feel that it is every woman's duty to make their voice heard, so shout loud my sisters!

Women still suffer all kinds of injustice in this age, particularly in geographies of Islam. With hopes of seeing better days for our children, on with the struggle..

I believe that women already have a lot of rights and that in a number of countries, the US and Australia to name two I know for certain, take that too far, women have more rights than the men, in a US court of law a woman has only to say a man raped her, and provide proof that he had sex with her, for the man to go to prison for life. I also believe that some countries need to bring their standards up, allowing women equal rights to those of men, but that other countries should bring them down, women should not be pedastalized, we should be equal. I don't want to be receiving special treatment from the government, or anyone really, because I'm female and for no other reason than that... especially while there are single dads out there who have no help at all.

Women have a right to equality in all walks of life, not just politics, or ecconomics, religion or race or creed. Basic human rights are denied to many women from different countries around our globe especially those repressed by religion and tribal culture. Something that existed in the past is not relevent in the Twenty First Century, it should be a number one priority to banis all form of discrimination towards women.

También el sistema económico violenta los derechos de las mujeres. The economic system means another aggression against the women's rights.
