Support the PAW Act - End Alaska's Aerial Hunting Program!

Alaska is truly our nation's last frontier. It is also the last place in the U.S. where a few hunters still use aircraft to chase and kill wolves. They shoot these animals from the air or chase them to exhaustion before landing and shooting them point blank.
Congress passed a law thirty five years ago to put an end to aerial hunting. But Alaska is exploiting a loophole in federal law to resume the practice, not only for wolves, but bears as well. Hundreds of scientists have condemned what Alaska is doing, even as other states threaten to follow Alaska's lead. It's time to stop aerial hunting once and for all.
Rep. George Miller (CA) has introduced the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act, legislation to close a federal loophole and curb Alaska's brutal aerial hunting program -- and prevent programs like it from spreading to places like the Greater Yellowstone region.

For many years Mr. Marlow and I have supported the study of WOLF behavior at Wolf Park - Battle Ground, Indiana; these animal are very intelligent. I think congress should study the Wolf and maybe instead of just closing a loophole the Federal Government could do away with Airborne Hunting altogether.

Let's get the PAW act through! Please work on this... wildlife should be protected. We share this country with wildlife and it is part of what makes it great. We should not allow people to kill wildlife whenever they want when wildlife is already so threatened by the way that humans, especially in our industrialized country, are able to- and choose to- live (with so much control over nature, relatively speaking). It is exceedingly and increasingly important that we do what we can to protect our nation's wildlife. Much, much thanks to you if you are working to these ends. Many people care about this issue. I vote and many of them do as well.

It's truly unfortunate that after years of the government working to re-establish the wolf community in Yellowstone that the laws have been renigged. These are wonderfully intelligent amazing animals and they should continue to be protected rather than hunted. It's unnecessary.

Wolves are an integral part to the natural order of predator and prey, and disrupting that poses a serious threat to everyone whether they be plant, animal or human. The brutal killing of wolves is just senseless and serves no purpose. It is a waste of a beautiful, intelligent and social creature.

I have so wanted to come to alaska but now I fear I dont want to anymore...To shoot such a wonderful animal for being what it is...is so wrong. Wolves are the natural cullers of other animals. They are so beautiful and their songs just so sweet. Please stop this barbaic act and let them live in peace....
