Alaska is truly our nation's last frontier. It is also the last place in the U.S. where a few hunters still use aircraft to chase and kill wolves. They shoot these animals from the air or chase them to exhaustion before landing and shooting them point blank.
Congress passed a law thirty five years ago to put an end to aerial hunting. But Alaska is exploiting a loophole in federal law to resume the practice, not only for wolves, but bears as well. Hundreds of scientists have condemned what Alaska is doing, even as other states threaten to follow Alaska's lead. It's time to stop aerial hunting once and for all.
Rep. George Miller (CA) has introduced the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act, legislation to close a federal loophole and curb Alaska's brutal aerial hunting program -- and prevent programs like it from spreading to places like the Greater Yellowstone region.

The number animals are slowly depleting nowadays ever since we experience these changes in our climate or the increasing activities of natural phenomena. Do we want to deprive our next generation from seeing the Natural wonders of the world? Furthermore it is considered inhumane to shoot an innocent being in that way. Could we, humans, who considered ourselves the only rational being in this planet, stoop to a bestial nature of killing beings lower than us just for the pleasure of knowing a power have the power to do as we please? Please let us be rational, what did the poor innocent animal ever did to us, to condemn him/her in such a fate?

Where do we draw the line at "cruelty" and "sport"? It's times like these I am disgusted w/ mankind, and our ability to simply cloak such inhumanity w/ the term "sport", in order to better rest at night. Please stop this before any more of these poor animals are senselessly killed, and before this barbaric "sport" spreads its snare into other states and regions . Thank You.

Dearest congressional committee, not too deeply embedded in the Alaskan wilderness, I've found a very troubling problem; the human population has taken the initiative of exterminating wolves and other animals using high-powered rifles and low-flying helicopters. If you could look into this and take the actions that I can not, it might keep me from becoming completely disillusioned with the legislative process and eventually resorting to the endorsement of anarchy. Thank you for your time.
