We Need a New Attorney General!

Target: President George W. Bush
Sponsored by: Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee
Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has abused his power. Tell President Bush to fire him immediately!

Gonzales' role in the Justice Department's firing of eight federal prosecutors and other abuses of power make it clear that he has not acted properly in his role.

The House Judiciary committee is continuing its investigation into this serious matter and will examine the White House's involvement in this scandal.

Democrats will continue to fight to ensure U.S. Attorneys are free from political pressure and have the tools they need to prosecute criminals, and that the languishing investigations into public corruption are completed. As the nation's prosecutor, the Attorney General is too important to play politics.

THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW. TELL PRESIDENT BUSH WE NEED A NEW ATTORNEY GENERAL!
deadline: 3-19-2008

i think it's great that the president is sticking up for the guy, but, if Gonzalez were as good a friend to the president, as the president is being to him, he would let president Bush off the hook and resign. then again, if he is standing on principle and did not do anything wrong, why should he?

America needs a new Attorney General because Gonzales seems to think he was appointed to serve the president not the people! Wrong! Take the oath like everyone else, our youth are watching. What a shame that Bush used Gonzales to do his dirty work and what a shame that Gonzales rode on Bush's coat tail and what a shame that America's top official supposed to protect the people torture, steal and ridicule the constitution interpreting it to this administrations need for power. Testify under oath Gonzales! What do you have to hide?

Misuse of power should not be tolerated. The American public is fed up with this culture of lies and elitist self-gratifying indulgence in the name of democracy.

The nation's chief attorney should not engage in lawbreaking. Our Attorney General should be non-partisan and above reproach but not above the law. America deserves better.

Actions taken by the Attorney General to compromise American justice in favor of the President's political agenda are the first step in a coup to destroy democracy in America. Mr. President, are you really willing to go down in history as the President who sold out his own government?

You have treated law enforcement the same way you treat the National Sicence foundation. Force them to use your agenda not truth or science. Enough is too much. Both of you scum bags should resign.

Mr. Gonzales has continually shown a lack of respect for the Constitution and Congress and has no place in our government.

It is hard to continue trusting the American justice system when those in charge of it continue to abuse it without fear. If nothing is done to the atorney general than our so called justice system will continue its downward spiral.

I believe we need a new Attorney General. I believe we need one that is for the American people and not for what the present administration needs him/her for. I believe that we need people in office that are not above the law and I believe that it should start with people taking oaths and meaning it.

Without the system of checks and balances and independence of the judiciary, democracy itself is at risk!
