Protect Darfur Women and Their Daughters from Abuse and Genocide

Right now there is a terrible government-sponsored genocide taking place in Darfur, Sudan. Over 2.5 million people have already been driven from their homes and hundreds of thousands more have been brutally murdered by the Janjaweed, a government-sponsored militia.
Darfuri women and girls are under constant threat of rape and physical assault by the Janjaweed. Girls as young as eight risk being raped and attacked when they leave their homes or refugee camps to gather firewood and food. Hungry families face a terrible choice each day - do they send out their husbands and sons who may be killed, or their mothers and daughters, who may be raped and beaten? This is a choice no one should ever have to make!
Please join the Save Darfur Coalition in speaking up for these women and girls who have no voice. Sign the petition asking the UN Secretary-General and President Bush to take immediate steps to stop the genocide.

I am very upset that the US has not taken action for the people of Darfur and Sudan. They greatly need our help for they are innocent and powerless. It seems we only help other countries who have something profitable to give back to us. Let's stop being SELFISH and start being HUMANE.
