Protect Darfur Women and Their Daughters from Abuse and Genocide
Target:President Bush and the UN Secretary-General Sponsored by:Save Darfur Coalition
Right now there is a terrible government-sponsored genocide taking place in Darfur, Sudan. Over 2.5 million people have already been driven from their homes and hundreds of thousands more have been brutally murdered by the Janjaweed, a government-sponsored militia.
Darfuri women and girls are under constant threat of rape and physical assault by the Janjaweed. Girls as young as eight risk being raped and attacked when they leave their homes or refugee camps to gather firewood and food. Hungry families face a terrible choice each day - do they send out their husbands and sons who may be killed, or their mothers and daughters, who may be raped and beaten? This is a choice no one should ever have to make!
Please join the Save Darfur Coalition in speaking up for these women and girls who have no voice. Sign the petition asking the UN Secretary-General and President Bush to take immediate steps to stop the genocide.
We signed the “Protect Darfur Women and Their Daughters from Abuse and Genocide” petition!

The only reason that this genocide is allowed to continue is because the one in charge of "peacekeeping" in Darfur gives you the answers you want to your "terrorist" related questions. "You scratch my back, I scratch yours". In the meantime, people are suffering and dying because you allow this to continue. Everyone can see what's going on there, in spite of your lies and attempts to cover it up. Do something!

Dear Fellow Peace Activists,
In my personal opinion,
this is something all people of peace should act upon as we already did by writting a letter to polish permanent representative to the United Nations with a request for our petition to be recognized as a way to global peace forever.

how the hell you can ignore the situation in Sudan? you find money to make wars happen without reason but 'can't' help innocent people in their needs.

How can decision-makers continue to sit idly by knowing what is actually going on in Sudan?? More importantly, as human beings, how do they manage to sleep at night?

It's important because people deserve better and should not be treated the way they are currently. The UN and the President need to do what they can to help the people of Darfur before we have another Rwanda, if the US officials would have stepped in and helped the UN then, then maybe thousands of incident people in Rwanda might not have had to lose their life's, so lets not repeat our mistakes in the past and step up and do something.
