Behind closed doors and away from public view, the Bush Administration is allowing big corporations to weaken our nation's environmental laws, so they can put more pollution in our air, put more poison in our water, cut down our national forests, damage our public lands, and make taxpayers, rather than polluters, foot the bill for cleaning up toxic wastes.
SIGN NOW, and tell the BUSH administration to save our environment!
Let's not destroy the future for our children. The environment must be protected and we haven't even made a dent.
I care about this planet earth. Life cannot survive if we take and never replenish. The natural balance of nature must not be disturbed.
Waste and destruction cannot be good for our environmnet. Without clean air, water and moderate temperatures life cannot survive.
I want to be part of this collective that openly states, to our government officials, that the truth is out there and availble to all...no hiding behind any toxic smokescreens will help anyone if our environment is continually being destroyed little by little for the profits gained that go into the pockets of the corrupt.
simply by breathing the air, wanting a future for Earth's children, I'm not looking forward to Global Warming and acid rain effects in our future....damage done to our environment is reletively irreversible.
Of all the lame brained things GW is doing during his term, this is one that disgusts me the most.

I care about the environment as should everybody. Without a healthy environment, there would soon be nobody left to care.

When I was a teen, I could swim in and eat the fish from Cherokee lake, in Tennessee. Now the water is so polluted, people get infections from swimming in it and no one would dare eat the fish. This sucks.
I am tired of watching the Bush Administration try to weaken or banish the laws that protect our environment in this country.

I feel that if we don't protect what is left of the Earth's forest, we will poison ourselves with our own waste. We live in a symbiotic relationship with nature and if we destroy it, we will destroy ourselves.
Bad environmental policies effect everyone directly. If we do not protect the forests and endangered species we are only hurting the cycle of life, which does include us. Life is interdependent on life and the first step to preventing destruction is by becoming aware of the situation.

The trashing of our environment is intolerable, a crime against humanity and the entire earth community. There is no commerce without a healthy environment. Commerce is totally dependent on the environment.
They make me terribly sad losing so much beauty and our birthright. This while we can have both a healthy environment and a sane commerce.

The environment is the most precious heritage we can give to our children. We have a duty to protect it and wildlife. Not only that but a pure environment is obviously beneficial for health and wellbeing.

The pollution we create has impacts on all of us whether our government officials acknowledge it or not and whether scienctists agree or are able to demonstrate it or not. There is a lot of evidence that demonstrates the impact of pollution on the earth, human beings, and animals.

Many Municipalities have stricter guidelines for residents than the feds do for big business. It's all about the almighty Dollar.

These guys just don't seem to understand that once the resources are gone, so is the money. What happens when all the oil is gone? Where will their profits be then? This is the only thing that they will hear - money. We need to encourage corporations to spend money on finding renewable sources of energy and materials, not encourage them to continue to rape and pillage our natural resources. Wouldn't renewable resources equal renewable income and profits? It sounds like a no-brainer to me.
The scarcer the oil, the more expensive it gets.

All living beings including my elderly Mother with lung problems need clean air to breathe, clean water to drink and the beauty of the wilderness for their soul
I don't want to see environmental protections being taken away from me.

Corporations have too much influence over enviromental regulations. I agree that pollution can not be eliminated over night. But the only way to clean up the mess we are making of this planet is to tighten regulations, not loosen them.
Please put our natural environmental protection as a priority. Let us focus on quality of life as well as prosperity!

How much longer are we going to wait until we realize just how fragile our earth and her environments are??? I remember 20 years ago, we were in a world emergency with the earth....when are we going to start listening and actually do something productive????

We need to protect our environment from big businesses and industries who are willing to destroy it in exchange for more profit. Sadly, our current government falls into this category.
I already suffer from severe chemical sensitivity. Bad environmental laws are helping to destroy my health. In sometimes subtle ways, those bad policies are destroying everyone's health.

Release of toxicants to the environment leads not only to an increased rate of cancers and other genetoxicity related-diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimers, and allergies which affect us all, but it also results in increased expenses by our goverment and ourselves. This is due to the fact that we spend more money by taking care of the increasing number of affected people. In addition, we need to include the wasted man/hours lost due to these diseases, expenses related to clean-up efforts. Last but not least, the negative effects that these policies could have in the natural habitat of hundreds of animal and plant species are big enough reasons to reconsider and come up with better thought policies.
There seem to be evil forces working in government souls. Desperately we need Earth Mother to be healed... not distroyed. Let us continue prayers for the healing... not the distruction!

I have severe allergies to pollution. If I were not very careful an reduce my exposure to air pollution, I would miss work and spend more on health care.
