Take Action For Earth Day!

Behind closed doors and away from public view, the Bush Administration is allowing big corporations to weaken our nation's environmental laws, so they can put more pollution in our air, put more poison in our water, cut down our national forests, damage our public lands, and make taxpayers, rather than polluters, foot the bill for cleaning up toxic wastes.
SIGN NOW, and tell the BUSH administration to save our environment!
I live in a beautiful part of our country - the Pacific Northwest. I know there are equally other beautiful areas of our wonderful country. I want my grandchildren to be able to take walks in a clean air environment and their children too. I want my country that I love to take action to protect the environment and do responsible environmental changes. I do not want exploitation of the environment such as drilling for oil in Alaska. That is a foolhardy and uncalled exploitation of that beautiful land. Please be sure the Bush Administration will not be allowed to do that. But furthermore, please work with us as concerned citizens to clean up our environment and put into policy actions that are responsible. We should be putting billions of dollars now at this moment into furthering research of alternatives to fossil fuels. We know the technology is there. Don't let Bush and others wait 5-6 years and make promises that we will get to it sometime. Now is the important time. We need to reduce our dependency on oil for very obvious reasons.
Bad environmental policies affect me because I have asthma. I need clean air to breathe better. I have had breast cancer. I don't have a bit of family history for breast cancer. I know dozens of women who had it too and did not have family history. The doctors say it is most likely due to environmental causes, but they don't know the specific cause. We need good and responsible environmental policies to protect our citizens.
We are destroying our country and future with our careless actions. A minority of people with money our making decisions that undermine our health and line their pockets.
Allergies-smog-awful looking horizon-lakes we can't eat fish out of-water we can't swim in or drink.....
I believe in the natural gifts that we have to appreciate and I believe that we have an obligation to care for them.
Bad environmental policies surely affect us all. Not only us, but all living things. We all enjoy the end result of some things that have an adverse effect on our environment. Just as we enjoy the lifestyle we have become accustomed to, we should seek to minimize the negative results that come of it.
This is too important not to get involved.
Health, recreation, economy, my grandchildren.
I feel if you value something you need to take action to preserve it.

I want to be a part of the cure, and an example of how to treat our planet.
By making my "home" unlivable, intolerable and by taking away my personal choices in wanting to live in a clean and healthy planet.
The Earth belongs to all of us; not just Americans, the Administration and Big Business. We do not want it sold out from under our feet.
The water must be treated with chemicals which in themselves can be harmful; the air?? soon we will be wearing gas masks; our food?? what can we trust not to be contaminated, genetically changed, treated with antibiotics? and the list goes on...
I care. The two Bush administrations have clearly proven they don't! Without the enforcement of environmental laws, history has proven numerous times that man will destroy the environment. We are definitely running out of space on the planet. Soyalent Green anyone?
Not just me, but my community. Without community there is nothing. Of course poisoning communities is alot easier than bombing them isn't it
I want a healthy enviroment for my children. I want them to know what trees are, to see what an amazing place earth is and we are destroying it.
I care about the environment and would like my children to at least breath clean air.
I find it hard to believe that our elected leaders and representatives are acting so devastatingly irresponsible - in my name! Selfishness, arrogance, stupidity, obsolesence - please stop.

Because the present Adminstration is bound and determinded to kill the environment if it can make the rich richer. They do not care about there fellow man, planet or animals..Money matters most.
My health, the safety and well being of our child and their children and all the lakes, forrest and animals. Bad environment hurts everyone but the rich. They do not care about tomorrow.

Destruction of the environment effects everyone today, tomorrow and in the future (if there is one).
It is killing us.
I feel that it is important to stop Bush and his appointees from further destruction to our environment. They work at setting us backwards instead of helping the environment improve. The feeling is that they are helping out the Bush cronies for the sake of the $$ and the hell with our lives and future!!
They rob me of clean air/water and future generations also. Our forrests and animals are also harmed. The constant tearing down of all ready made laws and policies is destructive to all. This country worked hard to bring about good changes but the Bush admin. works hard at destroying all the good steps that have been made for mankind. Good people are transferred into odd jobs if they voice their honest thoughts against the Bush team memeber!!

Bush is paying back his big corporate supporters with freedom from responsibility. The legislators who give these freedoms to the big bucks are not acting in the interest of their constituents. I sincerely hope voters keep these facts in mind in the next election.

It would be faster to name the ways they don't. Big corporations and built-up militaries won't mean so much in ten years when global warming is out of control and deforestation is beyond repair. That's the future with which I'll have to live and if it's up to me, I don't want my children to see anything of the sort.
I would like the US to be a leader in something positive like cleaning up our waters, air and land. I feel the Bush administration is more interested in being a leader in profit and big business rather than health of humans animals and all other life. I think we can do more to be stewards of this earth and loosening corporate laws that were made to protect our environment is a horrible idea.
Bad policies don't just affect ME they affect every living thing the planet over. We all live down stream and we all need clean air and water. Let's be #1 in our environmental policies and have that as the thing we are looked up to for.

I feel that Bush has done nothing to help the environment. His father said there was no such thing as acid rain. He is certainly supporting the big businessman.
We all live on the earth and we are all part of it.
If our government does not wake up & start protecting this planet that God put into our care, there will not be anything left to make a profit. Of course that is not their problem, just as long as they can make every dollar possible today & damn tomorrow.

I am tired of special interest groups with money to lobby getting their way regardless of devastation to the environment.
I drive near my home and see how beautiful forests are cleared for subdivisions without regard for wildlife. I feel sad for their loss which is my loss.

I would like to finally put this matter to rest once and for all that Environmental Laws have been fought for and put in place for the benefit of all Americans.They were never meant to be bartered off for political gain.
One thing is that 'bad policies' allow pollutants from factories to escape into the air and the lakes and rivers.My health, and that of others could be seriously affected by this, plus , it affects me, and others , when tax dollars are spent to clean up someone else's mess instead of them being rightfully used to fund a worthy cause or program.
No one has the right to poison the gift of our home, that God gave us! What an insult to God, the gift itself, and every living thing we share it with.
This is the only known inhabited planet. We do not have anywhere else to go.
We are losing our beautiful environments: it is so hard to find someplace green and quiet to go.
On behalf of the voiceless ones I pray we will not continue to destroy the life support system on which their lives depend.

Our environment is more important to protect than lining the pockets of big business. Polluting or destroying our world is not healthy for anyone, especially for our future generations.

I think this administration is setting frightening precedents in our governmental treatment of the environment. Things need to change before their unreversable.
Because I would like to see what's left of nature survive for future generations, and these dangerous policies prevent that from happening.

Here in Claremont we suffer from the dioxins coming from the incinerator, and now you are making the air worse.
It's past time to show Mother Earth the respect she should have. Corporations have no interest in her welfare, only in their own greed. All creation is connected and what we destroy affects all of us and if not stopped will destroy life itself!
I am presently living in a town that is completely dependent on industry. One has only to smell the air or look in the rivers to see the pollution that is allowed. I breathe it, I eat it and I could be drinking it if I didn't use bottled water. I suffer from dysfunctions of the immune system that were not present until I began living here.
We all need to take responsibility for this beautiful planet we live on and to protect it for future generations.

It's all one planet, and now there is no clean water anywhere on it. The air is getting dirtier too. Time for us as humans to stop spreading our sewage and start cleaning up our acts. It is corporate eco-terrorism if the end result makes others, even animals, worse off.
