Women make up more than half of the population of the United States, yet women still struggle to gain freedom over our most basic rights – the right to plan our pregnancies, the right to choose when and if to have a child, and the right to control our bodies, WITHOUT government interference in our private medical decisions!
On January 22, 2004, the 31st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Representative Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) introduced the federal Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), a landmark piece of legislation that will protect women's civil liberties and prohibit the government from interfering in the exercise of reproductive rights.
Help pass this bill to protect our most fundamental freedoms! FOCA is about reproductive freedom at its most basic for ALL women – FOCA protects a woman's right to choose to bear a child as well as her right to plan her pregnancies with birth control and to choose to terminate a pregnancy. FOCA prohibits discrimination against the exercise of reproductive rights.

My husband and I have been trying so hard and long to have a child together. I fight all the time for insurance coverage for infertility treatments and remedies. They will pay for unlimited termination of pregnancies, and will cover every kind of medical procedure to prevent pregnancies, and will cover thousands of dollars worth of birth control pills over the lifetime of women, why can't they better cover fertility procedures? I could only find one company that would cover IUI's - NOT IVF. That's not fair.

I support this because women have the right to decide to have a baby or not to have a baby and to plan pregnancies.

Women are capable to do the same things as a man but they endure so much criticism.

I don't care what the "excuse" is, the hidden agenda of limiting womens' rights to their own bodies in a vicious act of the patriarchy. I refuse to submit myself, my body, and my future to the men who have paid their way into power in this country!

MY body is MINE!! What I choose to do with it is naturally my right. For too long men have dictated what a woman may do with her body. They continue to rape, beat, molest, maim, objectify, depersonalize, etc. and believe that a woman's body is for their own sick designs. Enough is enough! Women deserve equal recognition on all levels with men.

NO one has the right to tell ANY woman what she can or cannot do concerning her OWN body! This government needs to get their own houses in order, and quit meddling with Woman's Rights!

Only the woman in question can decide what is and isn't best for her, her family, and her body.
