Support a National Wolf Recovery Plan

In the wake of the federal delisting of wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies, Defenders of Wildlife and our allies at the Natural Resources Defense Council have filed a formal petition with the Fish and Wildlife Service calling for a national wolf recovery plan.
Such a plan would help ensure a lasting future for wolves in Greater Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies and provide a needed boost for wolf recovery and management efforts in the Southwest, Northeast and Pacific Northwest.

This is very important. In the wake of all the various new US legislations occurring allowing the 'hunting & culling' of wolf packs throughout the USA, most especially for me in Alaska the terrible permission to allow aerial hunting - a national wolf recovery plan would be invaluable to help restore the balance. Better yet - stop passing laws to allow this slaughter.....

This is an acceptance speech to a corpse..because clearly YOU DID ACCEPT IT. I Do Not.Those folks whose 'wolf fear' drives them to murderous panicky letter-writing campaigns..well, those sort don't matter.THEIR OPINIONS ARE WITHOUT MERIT OR VALUE.Because those are the people who,upon seeing the last lupine thrown upon the pile,congratulate themselves before moving on to the mighty lemming, toothy-clawed kitten or fearsome Fish&Wildlife Officer.There's always SOMETHING for the Pile. The wolf is a key component of healthy wilderness areas. Wilderness areas are precious and deserve protection for the health of our planet, and for future generations. De-listing the wolf was reprehensible, short-sighted, and wrong-headed. I fully support a National Wolf Recover Plan, and protection of our wolves in all the United States.
