Tell the EPA their CA waiver denial is an outrage!

Target: David Ivry, Ambassador of Israel to the United States
Sponsored by: Environmental Defense
The Environmental Protection Agency has denied California's waiver request to cut global warming pollution from automobiles. This decision ignores the science and the law.

Seventeen other states plan to implement similar programs. EPA's action is nothing more than a heavy handed stroke to limit the authority of states to fight global warming and protect our environment.

It is reported that EPA Administrator Johnson's staff even recommended approving the waiver because it met all the necessary standards.

California is leading the country to fight global warming, and the EPA and Administrator Johnson are holding them back.

Send a letter today to Administrator Johnson expressing your outrage at this unfounded decision!

Administrator Johnson,

I am profoundly disappointed in your decision to deny California's waiver request to cut global warming pollution from automobiles. It's an outrage.

This decision is not based on science or the law. Indeed, the science tells us we must take urgent action to dramatically cut our global warming pollution or face potentially catastrophic consequences.

In April, the Supreme Court gave EPA full legal authority to not only grant this waiver but to take global warming a lot more seriously than your agency has to date.

In the last 40 years, EPA has granted all 50 previous waiver requests by states to clean up air pollution. Your decision demonstrates a blind eye to the urgent threat of global warming.

I am deeply troubled by your decision and will do everything I can to support efforts to overturn it.

Sincerely,

The EPA needs to begin doing its job. Soon we will have a new president who will address this issue. The EPA has been so watered down for 8 years. thanks for the memories of a dying planet.

It takes money and leadership who can prioritize and resist corruption. John Kerry said, "these criminals must be stopped". While he didn't know the mic was on, he would NOT take back his statement. We have an illicit dynasty running the free world who believe war is good for the market. Look at all the human legs which are being blown off from orders in Washington. Sadly while I agree with this petition I know there are humans living in scrawler too. The light at the end of the tunnel is YOU. Get involved and stay involved. Train your children and grandchildren integrity. When you pass on, your legacy will stay involved.

The job of the EPA is to keep my air clean. Period. You are a civil servant, your day job is dependent on my tax dollars and you will listen to what California is telling you. You do not live here and you do not know of the health implications that your careless decision will bring to tens of thousands of Californians. pass the waiver and get out of the way. You have no right or business being in the position that you are in and it will be a great day for this country when you are forced to leave!

The ONLY job the EPA has is to protect the environment. You are a public servant, paid by my taxes. I am a resident of California, you work for me, I pay your bills, and I want clean air to breath!!! So start doing your job! Get out of the way, grant the waiver, and let us do what we need to do to clean up our cars, or RESIGN and let someone else actually DO the job they are being paid to do!

Waivers have been approved in the past. it is well known that the auto industry has the capability of moving faster to reduce harmful auto emissions.

I do believe that your actions are just a cover-up used to hide this company's money-making potential. What kind of organization are you that thinks more about their own needs than the needs of everyone else in the world? Shame on you.
