Protect Women from Abuse: Support the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act
Target: U.S. House of RepresentativesSponsored by: Women's Funding Network
Many women in poor countries are so desperate for security and a better life that they are willing to use international marriage brokers to find a stable home. But the marketing practices of many international marriage brokers attract predatory abusers with a history of violence against women and children.
As a result, women seeking better lives in our country are being abused, even murdered, by the men they meet through the online brokers.
Domestic abuse of mail-order brides is just one example of the larger problem of human trafficking in the United States and around the world. Each year alone, approximately 14,500 to17,500 people are trafficked into the U.S. and then sold into a life of sexual exploitation and/or slave labor. And a staggering 80% of trafficking victims are women and girls.
There is a bill in Congress right now that can help to protect women from abusive men and unscrupulous international marriage brokers: the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA), H.R.3657. Please sign this petition to urge your representative to support this bill today!

I totally support the new IMBRA against all kind of violence to women not to mention all these rubbish scams from the majority of local and international (IMB) not all of them of course but the main thing taking into consideration is concerning not dating agencies'regulation but to keep control with Visas K1-K3 and so on towards foreign brides specially slavic women and the ban to allow the immigration to USA overall dealing with sexual predators males,family abusers and beating offenses against overseas ladies whom can't express properly their rights because the language barrier.One more point citizens of United States of America I don't have any doubt if the russian or slavic women go on entering to USA in a few decades the russian force will be as important as mexican invasion so be aware on getting Mr Putin's future children at backyards.

I'm a male who has worked all my life for women's reproductive health and rights. Women, of course, are the primary victims of trafficking. But both females and males are victims of trafficking: countless boys are forced into prostitution, and millions of "johns" have died of AIDS.
