Counter Climate Crisis - Take the Pledge

can't afford to wait. Already the Arctic has lost over 386,100 square miles
of sea ice - an area larger than Texas - due to climate change. This fragile
ecosystem, while inhospitable to human life, supports polar bears, walrus and
numerous other creatures. And they are all in peril because of the effects of
global warming.
Pledge to fight global warming, and call on your elected officials to limit our global warming pollution and provide strong incentives for renewable sources and energy efficiency!
Higher temperatures threaten dangerous consequences: drought, disease, floods, and the loss of precious endangered species. And amid the threat from rising oceans and extreme weather, global warningÂ’s effects have already begun.
But solutions are in sight: We know where most heat-trapping gasses come from: power plants and vehicles. And we know how to curb their emissions: modern technologies and stronger laws.

Many of the policies of the Bush Administration are making Global Warming worse, while they continually announce that there is no such thing as "global warming". Obviously, they care more their corporate donors, than they do about the planet. The people must take care of our planet if our government won't, but we also need a leader who cares about our planet and our country. Working together, we can help protect our environment, but we also must have leaders who agree that we have a really serious need to do so.

If we address global warming now using technology to research and develop alternative fuel sources that are complimentary to the environment, we will have jobs and a cleaner Earth for the future. Greed drives Mr. Bush and his cronies to plunder our Earth for limited resources - greed is a negative and evil thing.

I agree 100% with this petition. But, please tell me, how in this world of today can anyone stop what is set down in Gods' plan. It is his plan that I see here and it will come to pass regardless of what anyone can do. We are using up our earth's resources, and killing our future. We are so hung up on oil and dont realize that we are depriving our children of a future. What government officials dont realize is that we using up the oil that is in our earth for a purpose, however we dont fully know the effect that oil has. Maybe it helps with gravity and what's to happen when there is none left? What about global warming, soon Tornatoes and Hurricanes are going to be the norm with thousand of people dying, while our earth tries to repair the damage that we are causing. What if our ozone is gone, the ray's of the sun will burn us, our clean oxygene which we need to survive will be scares. What will your children, nephews cousins breath? We are killing ourselves and we dont know how much time we have left. I beg you to send this around the world and spread the word that we need to be careful, we need to educate ourselves on Global waming, Greenhouse effect, el Niño and la Niña. People, everytime you drive a car, you are polluting the air, you are killing life, You are killing me and you and anything beautiful. We need to take action now to stop the horrible things that will come if we dont act now. In 5 years we wont be able to reverse our damage. Save Me, save the earth, save yourself. Recycle, plant trees, dont cut them down. Ride your bike to work, leave your car behind or buy a hybrid car. Save my children as well as the children who have no one to fight for their future. Soon the air we breath will be toxic, and the rays of the sun will burn my skin, the ocean will be polluted and our fish will die. Our animals will die and we will not be able to survive. We have caused our own dooms day. Take action and save life, save the planet. I know we can do this. I have faith in you, because even a minimal change can change the outcome.
