Now is the time to find peaceful solutions to the the standoff over Iran's nuclear program. Opening lines of communication with Iran is the only way to facilitate a non-nuclear resolution - avoiding another nuclear crisis.
The "no negotiation" approach to Iran has not been successful. For nearly 26 years now, the U.S. has had no formal diplomatic dialogue with Iran, even though key governmental bodies in Iran are eager to talk.
Credible sources say preparations are underway for military action against Iran. "Everything is on the table," says the administration - everything, that is, except direct talks.
The war in Iraq taught us about the disastrous costs of reckless and unsustainable military action. We now must bear the consequences of refusing to talk directly to North Korea. But we still have time to change our course with Iran. By openly communicating with those in Iran who want to negotiate, we can avoid another Iraq.
Tell President Bush to take a diplomatic approach with Iranian leaders. Direct negotiations are needed now more than ever!
We signed the “Don't Risk Another Nuclear Showdown: Support Direct Negotiations with Iran Now” petition!

Diplomacy is the only way. Another war will only serve to infuriate those that hate us, and incite more terrorism. Rather than further alienating the rest of the world, and for that matter turning more voters away from your party, let's try handling this one like grown ups, shall we?

We must talk with Iran! We are on the way to a global war if a peaceful resolution cannot be found. Instead of labeling a country as part of the axis of evil, talk to them. Let us not have another Iraq, Vietnam, etc... Our current adminstration has ignored North Korea and look what happened. If we do not start dipolmatic processes soon, we could very possibly see North Korea ally with Iran to take on the USA.

For once in your life, do the right thing and speak to other leaders instead of dropping bombs

Please change the course of action. We do not need more war, violence, suffering and death. This has gone on far too long. It is time to negotiate peace. It is time for things to start getting better. War will only lead to more war. Peace will lead to peace. Do not war with Iran or anyone, end it now and let's start rebuilding our countries. Let's start living in peace. It is long past time.

President Bush, peaceful negotiations are the only real solution. Please do not lead us down the same road as Iraq!
