Service members fighting for our country shouldn't have to worry about their families' health care. But millions of military patients and their families are already having trouble finding physicians. Since TRICARE, the military insurance plan for active and retired military members and their families, is tied to Medicare, future doctor payment cuts will cause even greater harm to their health care quality. Unless Congress acts now, future doctor payment cuts will deprive these heroes of the health care they need and deserve. Help protect service members' access to doctors!

You know I know you already got what you need from them but don't you think it's time the Federal Government actually cared once they got out of the service. I don't know too many vets who actually have nice things to say about how they're treated after they serve. I know one person who fought for over twenty years to get his ailment treated by VA. He died a couple months later. The hospitals are molded and falling apart. Many members of our Government have visited those places over the years(President Bush for example) only to be shocked when it hits the new. Take care of them. It's deplorable the way this country treats the very ones who sacrifices so much for her! I can't help but notice that no one in the senate or house is petitioning for a cut in their benefits! I am a Doctor of Chiropractic serving two young Vets who have recently returned from Iraq. Both are healthy young men, both need chiropractic care urgently due to the stresses they experienced over seas. Both have served for 15 months and fear the army will call them back which is an incredible stress on their bodies and their psyche. Both have young families to think of and both are so physically exhausted their young 20 something year old bodies are breaking down with acute back and neck issues. The army does not pay for Chirpractic care which is HORRIBLE and disgusting. We need to take care of our Vets. Haven't we learned something from the Vietnam war and all the people living on the streets with no health or living care available to them?!

Medicare doesn't even reimburse doctors at a level equal to the cost of treating patients. And, recent reports predict that the government will cut the rates further - by 10 percent in 2008, and a whopping 40 percent by 2015! Past cuts have made it more difficult for service members to find a doctor. Future doctor payment cuts will force doctors to limit the number of new Medicare patients they treat, will make it more difficult to find surgical and medical specialists and will force seniors to travel greater distances for medical care. view more With millions of military patients and their families already having trouble finding physicians, these cuts make no sense.
