Australia's island state of Tasmania is home to unique ecosystems that
contain some of the Earth's most incredible plants and animals,
including the world's tallest hardwood trees and ancient old-growth
forests.
Tragically, these global treasures are being destroyed by the
logging company GUNNS LIMITED. Gunns cuts down more than 40 football
fields of pristine old-growth forests everyday, then firebombs the
clear-cut land with napalm, and poisons the surviving wildlife with
1080, a toxin banned in many countries. Streams are polluted, 400 year
old trees destroyed, habitats incinerated, and threatened species
killed.
Please join us now in the fight to save Tasmania's incredible
forests:
TELL GUNNS LTD. TO STOP ITS DESTRUCTION OF TASMANIAN FORESTS AND WILDLIFE!
We signed the “Save Tasmania's Forests!” petition!

One day you, the Management of this company, will understand that you are accountable for your actions. Unfortunately, til now, your actions are self seeking, cruel and destructive. That can change. Make sure my child can enjoy the wilderness and understand how wonderful it is to look oneself in the mirror each morning.

I'm ashamed to be Australian when we have an incidious company like Gunns wantonly destroying forests and cruelly killing our wildlife. Gunns is supported by both State and Federal government. People power stopped the damming of the Franklin so we need people power to stop Gunns.

Please develop alternatives to destroying forests and wildlife - once they are gone it will be too late. It will be impossible to replace what we lose - we are only caretakers of our planet and should behave accordingly and ensure that our actions have a positive impact on the environment. What your organisation is doing is impacting negatively on the flora and fauna. What choices do they have when companys such as yours destroy habitats?

PURE EVIL SELFISH GREED. This is OUR planet too. How dare you destroy such natural beauty that no dollar could ever buy back. When is this going to stop? When there is nothing left to destroy? What the heck is going to stop you people from destroying our beautiful planet for cash.

Please stop destroying these old growth trees and the wildlife that calls them home. It is a shame on your organization and an unecessary practice.

Tasmania is the rogue state in Australia on logging. If anyone could see the stumps left they would weep, as they would listening to the agressive greed of Gunns. They are like locusts eating their way across the land. Tasmania is small and has the habit of falling into the 'pockets' of powerful forces.

It is almost unbelievable that in the context of the debate on global warming that Gunns are able to continue to destroy the remaining virgin Tasmanian forests. Terrifying too is the support given to them by both sides of government.

All over the world many people understood meanwhile how utmost important it is to finally start and protect our environment. Not only because of the beauty of nature but because our all survival depends on it. How can it be that the destruction of forests and wildlife still goes on and that to such an extent and with such speed? Every single tree counts or we will all be OUT OF BREATH in no time!!!

Gunns Ltd should be treated as any terrorist. They should be jailed for what they do.
