President Bush has appointed some real scoundrels over the years, but Elaine Chao has to be one of the worst.
Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao has done horrible damage to workers' rights by gutting safety regulations, promoting a big business agenda and undermining workers and their unions at every turn.
The policies she could try to push through as she leaves would take years to undo. But if she thinks no one is watching in her last months in office, she's wrong.

They fail to account for the money wasted oversees in Iraq, They take no responsibly for the pahrma industry and the oil industries for making excess profits. This administration has failed to stop war profiteering. They blame problems on workers while allowing banks to run without regulation. There are rules in place but if no one enforces them they are useless. The secretary of Labor works for the people ..not Bush, not the republican party, not big business. I wonder how anyone working in position of power in this administration can sleep at night. They have cheated the Earth and its people everyday.
