We are all too familiar with the consequences of global warming.
But how many of us know the public health threats that exist? The World Health Organization estimates that 150,000 people die every year from the effects of climate change, and millions more suffer from illness, malnutrition and other health problems due to a warming planet.
A new Environmental Defense Fund report, Are We Ready? Preparing for the Public Health Challenges of Climate Change, reveals critical gaps in our public health system's ability to respond to growing health threats from climate change.
Now, help make public health preparedness a top priority! Send a message to the Secretary of Health and Human Services today!
We took action on “Prepare for Public Health Challenges of Global Warming”!

Many people die each year from climate changes without preparing themselves ahead of time. The elderly aren't adequately informed of air conditioned places they can go locally during a heat wave and others don't take into account the devastating effects of a hurricane until it comes to ravage their homes. A collective effort among every individual needs to be reinforced to help others in disasters we can't control.

American safety--as recent natural disasters have shown--is infinitely more endangered by nature than by terrorists. Pressure Congress to shift money from the insanely bloated defense budget to provide true defense from and preparation for the dangers that most threaten our people.

People need to prepare themselves for the changes to come. There is a general lack of knowledge out there about the effects of global warming. Even the term global WARMING has alot of people confused. The people need to be educated about the problems to come.

It is the poor countries which are bearing the brunt, right now. They are the canary in the coal mine.

All though many people want to think its not going to happen-it is. God gave us a wonderful world to live in with every thing we need, and now it seems as if we are trying to destroy it. Humans do not have the right to permanently dominate and abuse the homes of so many living creatures and wildlife habitats: Earth. Global warming is making it's mark and taking it's toll as is evident everyday more and more, particularly through the severe weather changes and the resulting deaths and in turn negative economic, and health effects. This needs to be addressed ASAP before the world as we know it no longer exists!! Expensive gas is already helping! Our world is in for some big changes, and it is important that we are prepared to help.

Global warming is making it's mark and taking it's toll as is evident everyday more and more, particularly through the severe weather changes and the resulting deaths and in turn negative economic, and health effects. Prior kept records and statistics prove that this is undoubtedly taking place. This is an issue that should be a major priority through legislation and backed or funded by the budget. Please address this situation and don't wait until it is too late. Thank you for your cooperation in advance.
