URGENT!!! Save the reptile shelter association by supporting its building project!

The reptile shelter association in Munich was encouraged by the persons in charge of the supplementary budget of the free state of Bavaria to buy an estate and enter into the appropriate commitments, which would have been covered by a sponsorship. Now they have surprisingly been told that this project will not be supported in the supplementary budget 2016, although everything was transparent from the very beginning on and the association has received positive signals from the officials all the time.

THE REPTILE ANIMAL SHELTER IS NOW FACED WITH RUIN AT THE BEGINNING OF 2016 AND MORE THAN 1.000 ANIMALS WILL LOSE THEIR HOME AS WELL AS 15 EMPLOYEES THEIR JOBS.

Depending on well-informed sources behind closed doors even the question was asked if "all those animals have to live that long at all."
The killing of an animal without any rational reason is forbidden due to the German animal protection law, so this comment shows clearly which significance the reptile shelter association, its building project as well as animal welfare in general have to the Bavarian government.

The reptile animal shelter Munich is a charitable association and taking custodial care of about 1.200 reptiles, amphibians and other exotic animals each year. Most of those animals are coming from official Bavarian impoundments. Those are poisonous snakes, crocodiles and other potential dangerous animals, which have to be taken care of permanently by the association because most animals can't be put over to other homes due to their risk potential.

The reptile shelter is located in rooms of the Ludwig-Maximilian-University for many years now. Soon the University needs the rooms itself referring to personal requirements. This is why a concept was created for building a whole new reptile shelter.

Why do I start this petition?
The reptile shelter association has started its own petition weeks ago but only received about 6.000 signatures which is way too little for making a clear statement at the Bavarian government. Maybe this case is attracting less interest by the general public here in Germany because it's about reptiles. The association also does not have the instruments for spreading the emergency as wide as it should be so this is why I jumped in.

PLEASE SIGN AND LET THE BAVARIAN GOVERNMENT KNOW THAT THIS KIND OF POLITICAL INCIDENT - RUINING A REGISTERED ANIMAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION - WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY THE PUBLIC WORLD WIDE!
