There are 13 million acres of vital desert land that is in need of protection and we are working to urge President Obama to help in its preservation. The hope is that Mr. President with designate the Castle Mountains, Sand to Snow and the Mojave Trails and Pisgah Valley as a national monument.
These beautiful lands are home to many various rare plants and wonderful animals like the desert tortoise, golden eagle and bighorn sheep. This area plays a crucial role in the beauty and health of the California Desert. Without protection, the natural beauty of these vital desert lands will lose its unspoiled nature and wildflowers while also displacing many of the wildlife that lives there.
People from all around the world are in awe of these gorgeous desert lands because of its painted mountains, stark beauty, the threatened desert tortoise and other iconic wildlife. The Pisgah Valley along with the Mojave Trails, the Castle Mountains and Sand to Snow offers tourist some unparalleled scenery and recreation. We want to ensure these areas are protected.
