Australians want a future that's renewable, not radioactive

In a state that leads the country in clean and renewable energy, it's hard to believe the government is considering dirty and dangerous nuclear. But SA Premier Jay Weatherill has launched a Royal Commission to investigate the future of the nuclear industry and is opening the door to serious and sustained radioactive risk.

South Australia is leading the country in renewable energy generation — providing clean and continuing electricity and fueling regional jobs. Across Australia and around the world, renewable energy provides far more power than nuclear.

An expanded nuclear industry in SA would undermine the state's vital fishing, agricultural and tourism sectors — and pose significant threats to the health of the community.

The government has a responsibility to support industries that nourish life, not threaten it.

We want Premier Weatherill and the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission to get the clear message that nuclear is unsafe, unnecessary and unwelcome.

Will you sign the petition to tell South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill and the Royal Commission that Australians want a future that's renewable, not radioactive?
Premier Jay Weatherill and Commissioner Kevin Scarce,

South Australia is leading the country in renewable energy generation — providing clean and continuing electricity and fueling regional jobs. Across Australia and around the world, renewable energy provides far more power than nuclear.

Australians want a future that's renewable, not radioactive!

• Say no to radioactive waste imports or dumping in South Australia

• Say no to nuclear power and processing in South Australia.
