The BC ministry of transportation has a proposed plan to create roadways through our outdoor recreation areas as part of the Second Okanagan Lake Crossing Project. Please sign this petition to show them you will not tolerate this kind of destruction to the natural beauty of our valley. The existing corridor can be improved with less money and less impact on the wildlife and citizens of the communities involved. Glenrosa, Smith Creek, Shannon Lake, Tallus Ridge, Rose Valley, West Kelowna Estates, Knox Mountain — Let's band together and put a stop to this lunacy.

Your plan to destroy Regional Parks for highways is short sighted and dated thinking from an era that should be long gone. The names on this petition agree that the existing corridor expansion is the best solution to the traffic problems in the valley. Please do the right thing and listen to the citizens that actually live in these communities.

We need to let the candidates know our stance on the bypass headed into the election. Come out for support, make signs and be heard! Global news will be there.
