Demand Our Community Recycling Centre Serving 'forgotten Carmarthenshire' is Saved

We call upon Carmarthenshire County Council & our Community Councils to take all necessary steps to Save our Community Recycling Centre. This provides an essential local service which allows significant recycling levels within the community, removal of this facility is a retrograde step. We feel forgotten by our County Council and need attention to our needs in this rural area.
We Demand that the Facility Remains Open

Update #47 years ago
Agreement has been reached that means the recycling centre will remain open. The agreement is till March 2017 when it can be renegotiated for a further year if "considered appropriate". There are questions that need to be answered, particularly why did this come to crisis point?
So well done and thank you to everyone who stood up for this local service through emails, phone calls, letters and the petition. We need to keep campaigning to ensure a long term commitment to this service.
Update #37 years ago
We were informed that our petition could not be submitted to yesterday's meeting as 7 days notice is required, an emergency question - a request for an update was refused. The CEOs reply "as far as the department is concerned, the facility is not closing on Friday. "Cllr Evans will however be responding to you today." As of yesterday 5pm the response has not been received. This could be good news as negotiations may be progressing. Fingers Crossed.
Update #27 years ago
The county council meets on Wednesday can we all make a final push to get more signatures, so that we can deliver the petition on Tuesday for consideration on Wednesday. We have over 1,000 signatures in total from the in line petition and the paper copies. 65% of on line signatures are coming from shares on social media. Please help by sharing the link again. Many thanks.

FACT CHECK LLANGADOG RECYCLING CENTRE
Anyone who has been there in the last few weeks knows
It will close unless we keep up our pressure.
To those politicians who are saying there is a contract in place ask them to produce it.
There is no contract.
The council meets on TUESDAY. We have lobbied and achieved support from Councillors from other areas. We are working across boundaries and political parties to Save Our Tip.
We could save this service on Tuesday.
