Demand That Orange County HUMANE SOCIETY Do the Right Thing!

Rosita will be missed forever. Rosita was well loved and lived with her owner in Anaheim. Last month she got lost and wandered over the Anaheim border into the city of Garden Grove. She was picked up by Garden Grove's animal control and taken to the OC Humane Society in Huntington Beach approximately 11 miles away.
Rosita's family did not know that Garden Grove separated from OC Animal Care on Jan 1, 2017 and started using the OC Humane Society in Huntington Beach for their animal services.
Rosita's family kept checking the nearby shelter, OC Animal Care, but she never turned up there. Sadly, Rosita's family learned the devastating news that their beloved dog was adopted to someone else during her stay at the OC Humane Society. Her family lost their ownership rights by not claiming her within 5 days. They never knew she was there! OC Humane Society cannot disclose the new adopters. Rosita will not be returned to her family and they are beyond heartbroken.

Please DEMAND that OC Humane do right by this DOG and by this family by contacting the adopter and giving them the owner's information, letting them know they are HEARTBROKEN, and asking them to contact the owner. This is not too much to ask. If the adopter chooses not to contact the previous owner, so be it. People need to be given the opportunity to do the right thing in order to DO the right thing!
