Mass killing of stray dogs in Kerala..india

India is a country where Kerala is a state and India believes in the message "Athithi Devo Bhava"

No where it is written that animals are not a part of this country, even if it is living on the street. Instead of a stray we must treat these animals as guests.

If they are huge in population, help them by neutering them at the right age, your state is rich enough to do this, killing is not always a solution to solve population issues. Invest to train street animals to help police to protect from miscreants and criminals. Take care of the animal health so they are not harmful to citizens. No animal attacks unless deprived/threatened or attacked.

Kerala has been a part of dog meat trade which is world wide becoming a huge detterent to a country's image, by encouraging such acts they will be giving space to this trade and bring shame to India. India has aldready been shamed due to sinister rape crimes and this will not be a welcome add on.

Lastly, it is plain inhuman and cruel to kill without reason. As it was widely agreed by animal lovers and activists trade, tourism and business associations with countries and states involved in meat trade of animal accepted as pets from centuries and world wide will be forcefully stopped.

We as humans are looking forward to be more civilized but such acts will prove nothing but barbarism from us.

msg from a Kerala animal lover:

Yesterday the Kerala High Court received a directive from the State, that dogs in the streets without a roof over their head can be "removed". With this, Kerala could be engaging in a bloodbath with the animal that has a history of compassion towards humankind. The ones who have been privileged to be loved by a dog know that there is no love that's as supreme and unconditional as between a (hu)man and his dog. The dogs that will be picked up for slaughter are the poor man's dog. The streets in Kerala will be livid with the scene of howling strays pleading for mercy. Little pups will be picked up and slaughtered in front of their mothers. And the children of Kerala, will lose a lesson in compassion to the fangs of barbarism.

This should not happen. While, we shall and we will fight this out with the courts, I urge you to do a simple thing to win the world with love.
