Save East Croydon Fruit and Vegetable Stall

 We the undesigned ask you Croydon Council to allow to allow Jawher Ahmad Mohammed and Salam Hassan to continue to provide their Fruit and Vegetable Stall Service, a healthy amenity near East Croydon Station.


You have refused to grant planning permission claiming it would be "detrimental to the visual amenity of the street scene by reason of its bulk" and would create a hazard to pedestrians.

This ice cream van sized green van with it's colourful fruit and vegetables  visually enhances the otherwise grey drab concrete street scene.

Unlike the tables and chairs of nearby cafes it is outside the main thouroughfare of commuter pedestrians. It is beside a tree, were it not there if you were to walk that route you would crash into a tree - it represents a health amenity not a hazard.
