A dog in Tampa, Florida, was allegedly shot and then tied to a railway track because it was deemed "too sweet" to be used in dog fighting, according to local news station WSTP.

Police say two teenagers shot Cabela the dog in the shoulder when she wouldn't fight other dogs involved in a dog fighting ring. The dog managed to get away from the teens and ran back to the home she had escaped from four months before she was sold into dog fighting. However, the teens reportedly tracked her down, took her to a railroad, tied her to the tracks, and shot her several times more.

No animal should be treated this way. Will you help me demand justice for Cabela the dog send a message to those involved in dog fighting and animal cruelty?

Please sign and share this petition to urge Hillsborough County State Attorney Mark Ober to prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law pending the results of the investigation by local police.
