“Bestiality Outlawed: Netherlands Bans Sex with Animals.”
The headline screams at me as I researched Bestiality in the Netherlands. Not something I would ever have imaged researching, and something that nauseates me so much that I had to rethink even writing this to bring attention to this one despicable act: A video has emerged showing a keeper in a dolphinarium. Performing a sex act on a dolphin. Just as sick, Dutch prosecutors said the footage does not show anything illegal. But a short Google search will show it was outlawed in 2008. Sign this petition and demand that action is taken against the dolphinarium, the zookeeper and that the dolphins are moved to a safer location.
This is not a story that I want to embellish, or even write about. But someone has to do something. The dolphinarium says it has done nothing wrong, they even attempt to normalise this despicable act. It is not normal to perform sex acts on animals. It is illegal in Holland, and morally shameful. What set of damage they have inflicted on these dolphins is anyone’s guess. But dolphins should be left in their natural environment, to do what is natural to them.
My worst fears are that they have been doing this for a long time, and that left unchecked they will carry on. It is sick and perverse, and despite what anyone at the dolphinarium says, there is nothing standard or routine about it.
We must raise our voice loud enough to make this stop. They want us to think it is normal, it is not. They want us to forget about it and move on, we will not.

Demand that mayor Harm-Jan van Schack close down the Dolphinarium Harderwijk and bring those abusers to justice.
