SeaWorld is known for its killer whales and bringing entertainment towards their guests by hosting shows each day, 24/7.
But no one is aware of what goes on behind the scenes. Those killer whales, males and females are kept in small water tanks with no room to swim around in, they are forced to breed, they are forced to 'dance and perform' with their trainers every day, and when they do not follow the instructions they get punished, locked up and deprived of their food.
Mothers and their children are usually kept together in the same tank as any other killer whale, but when the offspring reaches 4/5 years of age, they are taken away from their mothers and shipped off to a different park halfway across the world.
And that is not all. Majority of those killer whales suffer from health, social and psychological problems.
Imagine ourselves being locked up in a tank from the moment you are born, for the rest of your life. Having to suffer with minimal movement.
Would you be frustrated by this? I know I would be. One killer whale in particular, Tilikum, was so frustrated by this, that he killed several trainers, once in front of a crowd watching the show. Another whale slammed its body in the water on top of a trainer who was sat on the back of another killer whale.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can help me out with this petition, and get SeaWorld shut down. Not just one location, but everywhere across the globe.
