Tell the UK to Treat Killing of Jo Cox as Act of Domestic Terrorism

MP Jo Cox has been brutally killed in broad daylight. Cox was shot and stabbed multiple times, and witnesses allegedly say the killer shouted 'Britain first' as he carried out the attack.

All evidence so far suggests that the killer is a supporter of the far-right and the killing is politically motivated.

If this man were Muslim and not white, it's highly likely authorities wouldn't hesitate to prosecute him for terrorism. By failing to recognise this act for what it is, the authorities simply feed racism.

Please sign my petition to urge the West Yorkshire Police to treat this killing as an act of domestic terrorism!

The definition of a terrorist is: 'The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims' (Oxford). Until further evidence is found which would suggest an alternative motive for the killing, this matter should be dealt with as an act of terrorism.

My sincere request to all people is to please sign this petition so we can get Jo Cox and her family sufficient justice and set an example for all people who have extremist views.

Monir A.

The man who brutally killed MP Jo Cox allegedly shouted 'Britain first' before repeatedly shooting and stabbing her. Shouting the name of an extremist group whilst attacking an elected member of parliament means this attack was politically motivated.

We the undersigned urge the West Yorkshire Police to treat this as an act of domestic terrorism.

We cannot treat this as an act of the 'mentally unstable' or a 'lone wolf.' An elected member of parliament is dead, and we strongly advise that the government orders a strict investigation on this matter as other political figures could also be in danger. There could possibly be a threat to the general public as well. A shooting and stabbing in broad daylight is not to be taken lightly neither should the words that was uttered from the killers mouth after the attack.
