FREE MUMIA! Sign the petition for a New & Fair Trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal. There is much evidence to show that Mumia is innocent and he was framed by a corrupt, racist Philadelphia police force. New photos of the crime scene will prove this!

New & Fair Trial for Mumia Abu-Jamal

Target:
United States Supreme Court
MUMIA ABU-JAMAL IS INNOCENT!!!! Mumia has yet to receive a fair trial. His original trial was a total travesty of justice, filled with lies, police coercion of witnesses, judicial bias, racism, politics, and an incompetent, inexperienced defense attorney. The true facts of this case prove Mumia's innocence, but because of Mumia's outspoken criticism of the corruption in the Philadelphia police force, and of injustice everywhere, Mumia was framed for a murder he did not commit. The time is long overdue to right this great wrong. FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR MUMIA!!!

Mumia Abu-Jamal never received a fair trial. His trial was a total travesty of justice, filled with lies, police coercion of witnesses, judicial bias, and an incompetent, inexperienced defense attorney. When the presiding judge over Mumia's trial says Yeah, and I'm going to help them fry the ni**er, and the DAs office intentionally excludes blacks from the jury, and the prosecutor's instructions to the jury were to convince them to vote for the death penalty because Mumia would have appeal after appeal, thereby lessening the seriousness of their role in deciding life or death for Mumia, when Mumia was not even allowed at his own trial, and when racism and politics were the key motivating factors throughout the trial ... Mumia never had any chance of a fair trial (or subsequent hearings). The time is long overdue to right this great wrong. MUMIA ABU-JAMAL DESERVES A NEW AND FAIR TRIAL! Mumia's original trial and subsequent PCRA hearing never had the slightest semblance of justice. Mumia should be allowed to present ALL the facts of this case to a jury of his peers, without judicial or prosecutorial bias & racism, as the US Constitution says he should.

I truly hope that the time has come to fight the injustice that Mumia and many others have faced. He deserves a new trial and the people of the United States deserve a court system that is willing to give all individuals a fair and just trial. I look forward to seeing how his new trial will unfold. Thanks, Linda Jacobs

In this great beacon of hope and justice in the world, the United States, we can surely grant Mumia Abu-Jamal the most basic right of a fair trial! Not to do so is a travesty and antithetical to who we are as a people and a nation.

I recently watched the documentary "My Whole Life in Prison" and am utterly ashamed of what I saw though I am so grateful that this film was made and that I now know more truths about my country than before. I wish I had learned of Mumia before now, but now that I do know, I want to learn more and spread awareness. Peace

It is a clear fact that the alleged woapon that belonged to Mummia was nevrt fired. He should have never been arrested without the abolute certainty of all of the evidence instead of it being tainted and changed to reflect on him. It It's quite clear that someone else shoot officer Daniel Faukner. Mummia is a political prisoner.

Keep signing pettitions for his release.

Everyone deserves the right to a fair trial. This right should be as much a part of our society as all others guaranteed by the constitution. Sadly, it is one that our government has continuously violated. Such violations are so ingrained in our lives that they are either seen as the norm or not at all. As much as we would like to believe that electing President Obama has changed our country, it does not and cannot erase our past and present problems and inequalities. It's a helpless feeling when situations like this remain unresolved. It opens the door for more and more injustice. All the while those who see it are ignored and branded as "liberals," "criminal sympathizers," or conspiracy theorists. Give Abu-Jamal a new trial. Let a jury of intelligent, representative citizens decide his fate.

What has happened to this Man is a reminder as far as one would like to think we as a people have come in actuallity we have not taken many steps. As each man and woman allow this man to be imprisoned unjustly so shall the day they to will be impriosned in one form or another and when they are asking themselves why? This Man and the in humane treatment of this Man will answer Why? for them .

It will never be a proud country or people as long as this in-humanity continues to exist in the country that is supposed to be a leader of humanity

Un-Real how far people go to cover up their errors. A man is sitting on Death Row for an un-fair trial. If this was a fair trial with intelligent jurors Mumia would be sitting home having a steak dinner. The police and the Judicial system should be ashamed of themselves. Good Luck Mumia.

Make more and more people aware of this issue and the issue of the right of the people to change the wrongs that have been made.

It seems fairly evident that the FBI, FOP and our government are afraid of people like Mumia. It's insulting that they see us "the people" as ignorant. Well i guess it's better to ignorant than dirty...and those people know who they are and will one day be judged by a far higher power than they can ever imagine.

The justice system has been so corrupt for so many years. Mumia has his right to live his life like he should without bein behind bars for something he didnt commit.

With most if not all informed people arguing in favour of a new and fair trial - how biased is the court system to not do it for 27 years?

To Mumia: Believe in love and hold on, and be assured there are MANY people throughout the whole world campaigning for you in every moment.

Having witnessed the documented account of Mumia's story on Youtube, I feel that there is no other option for the Obama government's judiciary than to order a retrial, anything else would betray the civil rights movement.

You have so many people behind your cause and you are the most incredible icon of dignity and strength in the face of outright racism and injustice we have seen since Nelson Mandela. I only hope that the change in presidency can help your cause
