Give North Belfast's Gaelic Clubs proper changing rooms

We appeal to Belfast City Council to support the right of the rate paying GAA community of North Belfast, to have proper changing facilities at Cliftonville playing fields.

Our aim is to have proper changing facilities and a proper ground built at the old cricket pitch ( The cricky ), Cliftonville Road North Belfast.
This area has suffered enough for to many years and has housed two GAA clubs Ard-Eoin and Pearses. Through bad times and good these clubs have always been here, but have never really had a proper fenced off safe environment to play their sports. For many years we have been denied by Belfast City Council the rights to both a proper ground and proper changing facilities our home pitch on Cliftonville Road North Belfast.
It is essential to both clubs involved to have proper changing facilities installed at this location because there is a serious Child protection issue as in past times players have had to change on into their gear at the side of the pitch or in the back of a Mini bus. This is not good enough!
The clubs need proper changing rooms and shower's.
The ground also needs to be secured properly and for two clubs to be denied a shared home ground for over 40 odd years is in itself a disgrace!!
It is high time that Belfast City council have agreed to put their hand into their pockets, for them to agree to use the money from our tax/rate payers, and gave us the money we need to develop our clubs sporting facilities.
This will also help us to stamp out the anti social element that has been plaguing our area's by installing a healthy sporting environment for the kids of North Belfast to enjoy.
Both clubs are non sectarian and ALL people are welcome to join in learning and playing our Gaelic games.
