Report abuse how can we expect any government to treat the rest with respect if they still treat any gender/race as second class citizens. respect and love should start at home and until they change the world should let them know they'll be in the "time out booth" |

Report abuse The lack of attention the Guatemalan Government has given to the murders and rapes of its women & young girls is shameful! As a woman I wouldn't dream of going to Guatemala and I seriously doubt any other woman would, especially a female athlete. |

Report abuse It would please me to no end to see the country of my birth rise above the social and economic calamity it has endured for the last fifty years. However, I feel that it is inappropriate for the International Olympic Committee, an organization which seeks to create a more peaceful world through sport, to endorse a government that treats half of its own population as second class citizens. |
