Petition to have a Native American history month!

I would like to see the American Native Indian's have a month to be honored! We have set  aside a month for other American's and their accomplishments.Yet, nothing for the true  original people of the land! My great-grandmother 'Gane Swan' walked the trail of tears. Her and  her people would be proud to be honored. Their tradition's known to all. Not segregated on reservation's as they are now. They have so much knowledge and culture to show American's. Yet, the American people know very little about their custom's, their place in history! People only know what they have read throughout history! The history made by people that wanted them to dissappear. The government did this in order to kill them and take their land. It's time to give back and celebate the Native's true place in history! The real truth! To honor them and their ancestor's.They are the forgotten people! But, as American's we can finally let their voice's be heard. We own them their place in history as well as knowing them as humans. I am proud to have Native Indian blood running through my vein's. Help them finally have a place in history! Sign this petition.
