Stop Oregon Cougar Extermination

Oregon Fish and Wildlife is exterminating more than half of Oregon's Cougars. They are trying kill all but 2,500 of them including kittens and their mothers. The more mothers they kill, the more hungry orpans wander into towns and the more ODFW increases the kill. Cougars raise more kittens when there is less competition for food. Mothers teach them to avoid humans. Killing the Moms increases encounters with humans, a false population indicator.

Dear Governor Ted Kulongoski,    You must stop your Fish and Wildlife Department from exterminating Oregon's Cougars.  It violates many laws, Oregon's Constitution and public trust to exterminate our wildlife. Our Cougars are very highly valued by most of us.  They belong to everyone, entrusted to the State to manage wisely for future generations to enjoy. Respect the voters and our majestic Mountain Lions. Please fire and charge all involved with the crimes they are committing. Thank you.
