Help stop violence in school

We the undersigned want to see the juvenile act changed so that Canadian laws  help children feel safe in school and in their own neighborhood.
This country needs different juvenile laws to reflect the changes within society. Laws need to be implemented to stop violence before it escalates into injuries and even death. These children who threaten to harm another should be required to attend counselling and anger management for a first offence. If it happens a second time, there should be required counselling again for the child and family as well as an effective parenting course on how to help the child. If parents  will not help the child then it should become the parents responsibilty and charges should be filed so that the child and parents both step in front of a judge. I do not think that jail time is appropriate unless its an ongoing issue but would like to see the child receive community service as well. Canada needs laws parents, schools and the RCMP can implement and enforce. Maybe if kids realize they can't get away with it anymore, they will think it through before harming or threatening to harm someone else knowing that the laws are no longer a joke.
