Brandon Molale for 'Captain Marvel' in 'Shazam!' movie

It's RARE that an actor looks like the very comic hero he WANTS to play. Brandon Molale is that rarity. We want to see OUR heroes played by people WE want to play them.

At 6' 4", Brandon Molale is no stranger to standing out on the big screen.
Brandon has appeared in over 25 films and is best known from his roles in 'Mr. Deeds' and 'The Longest Yard' starring Adam Sandler and 'Dodgeball' with Ben Stiller.

Brandon will be seen in six films over the next year including 'Balls of Fury' with Christopher Walken and George Lopez, 'Big Stan' starring Rob Schneider, 'Starship Dave' starring Eddie Murphy and indie thrillers 'Farmhouse' and 'Hotel California'. He will start filming Rob Schneider's 'The Chosen One' this month.

Upcoming television guest appearances include the FOX pilot 'Sarah Connor Chronicles', CBS pilot 'Moonlight', NBC's 'Chuck' and recurring on 'Reno 911'.

Brandon was featured in the 8/6/07 issue of Daily Variety: <http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117969729.html?categoryId=28&cs=1>

Brandon has an extremely strong worldwide fan base and is involved with numerous charities.

Raised in Concord, California, Molale played football at Fresno State University where  he graduated with a BA in Advertising and Marketing. It was in college that he started taking drama and acting classes. Brandon's football skills led him to performing football stunts in 'The Waterboy' starring Adam Sandler.

Dear Peter Segal and New Line Cinema:

We WANT Brandon Molale to play 'Captain Marvel'.

Doesn't character association have anything to do with the iconic image of our childhood anymore?  The superheros we remember seeing? The tall, muscular,
good-looking characters? Why is Hollywood so bent on putting a name into a roll for the sake of the name?

Look at the masterful job at taking a chance on what would be considered an "unknown" with Brandon Routh and Superman - a charcter who LOOKED like the character we remember, looked like a superhero and could act. I read all the posts above and don't see the passion behind many of the suggestions.

Dwayne Johnson is a powerful actor in his own right. Black Adam would be a
fantastic roll for him to mold, become - a character he resembles - not an ethnic thing, not a racist thing, a character thing. Brandon Molale is a fantastic actor as well.

He is Captain Marvel. He is the right age, height, body, attitude, ability and
most importantly - LOOK. He looks like Captain Marvel, shockingly like him.

Why shroud the importance of that essence of the character? If all the other essential elements are there also? It's time we voice the fan's vote - not the same faces in all the same roles...keep our superheros the way we remember them, for us, for our kids....
