Urge Congress to make An Effective Environmental Decision

While many of our government representatives have shifted their concerns to the state of our planet, working to revise energy plans, shifting their focus to reduce green house gas emissions, a vital component still seems to elude them. The value of trees. Please urge your representatives to convert to using recycled paper in all government offices and complete the cycle of recycling. Their initiative will inspire individuals, big and small businesses, and other organizations to do the same. Our government should not be exempt, but should rather become the leader in this movement as a message to The People.
Dear [Congress Member],With many documents being printed by both State and Federal government agencies, why are they still being printed on paper with virgin tree fiber? We strongly urge that you take the initiative to call for the use of recycled paper in all Federal and State offices.
Start by using recycled paper in your own offices.With almost 4 billion (35%) of the trees cut down around the world each year being used by the paper industries on every continent to meet consumer demand, it is a wonder that you have remained reticent on this issue. It may lead some to believe that you do not take all environmental solutions seriously. Trees purify the air we breathe and water we drink by breathing in and absorbing the toxic gasses that we produce, helping to keep green house gasses in check.The price and quality of recycled paper products is comparable to virgin fiber paper and, in light of the fact that you are already implementing initiatives to decrease global warming gasses; it only makes sense to include the use of recycled paper to your adjenda. You will make an even greater impact to decrease global warming by taking this action. Please convert to recycled paper in
all government offices and complete the cycle of recycling.
