Stop Famine. Save Lives Now

Nearly 1.4 million children are at imminent risk of death as famine looms in Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen. In South Sudan alone, over 270,000 children are severely malnourished. That number could reach one million if we don't act soon.

These countries are reeling from conflict, poverty, and insecurity. War and a collapsing economy have left people facing starvation. If nothing is done to curb the severity and spread of the food crisis, the number of food insecure people is expected to reach 5.5 million at the height of the lean season in July.

UNICEF aims to reach as many children they can who are suffering from severe acute malnutrition in 2017. We continue to reach communities in the most remote locations, and these rapid response missions treat thousands of children for malnutrition as well as providing immunization services, safe water, and sanitation.

Time is running out for more than one million children. Add your name to join UNICEF and help put an end to famine!
