Tell 'Legal Sea Foods' restaurants to STOP selling Faroe Islands salmon!

  • by: Maura Kelley
  • recipient: Roger S. Berkowitz, President and CEO of Legal Sea Foods
'Legal Sea Foods' restaurant chain features Faroe Islands salmon on its specialities menu. Buying and selling Faroese salmon supports their economy - an economy which is also dependent upon the mass slaughtering of nearly 1000 whales annually in the Faroe Islands.

Faroe Islands salmon are raised in the same fjords that contain the blood of tortured and slain whales and dolphins in 'the Grind' - nearly 1000 annually. This indirect connection should concern anyone who loves marine mammals.

Whales are highly intelligent, sensitive and social creatures, forced to swim here in the sea of blood of their murdered family members until they themselves are gaffed and violently dragged and then stabbed to death.

Ask 'Legal Sea Foods' restaurant chain to make a stand for the humane treatment of animals by stopping their sales of Faroese salmon until the hideous pain-filled cetacean massacres end in the Faroe Islands.

Supporters, the first hard copy letter with number of signers, along with all the information was mailed to Mr. Berkowitz on Oct. 3, 2017. There has been no response from him. I verified the address was correct with his manager. I resent all the information with a request for an immediate public response from him. The only next step is a public demonstration with banners and brochures in front of Legal Sea Foods restaurants in Boston in order to educate consumers. YOU ALL are the change-makers!!
