In his first speech to the United Nations General Assembly, President Obama recognized that the UN is a vital institution for U.S. foreign policy.
Since taking office, President Obama has put engagement with the critically important global body on his priority list. Not only has the U.S. paid long overdue bills to the UN, we have also joined the Human Rights Council and started demonstrating real engagement with other nations.
In his speech, the president outlined how America would lead in addressing common challenges, but was also clear in stating that all countries must step up and work together to do the same. From nonproliferation to global warming, no nation can do it alone, and the UN is the only universal institution that can bring the world together.
The Nobel Peace Prize committee recognized President Obama's strong attempts at outreach throughout the world when bestowing upon him that honor -- now add your thanks to our president!
We took action on “Thank President Obama for His Strong Support of the UN”!

Arya Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, known as Kuan Yin is the bodhisattva who most embodies compassion. The name Avalokitesvara has its root meaning as "he who observes the sounds of the world". The great vow of Avalokitesvara is to listen to the supplications, and cries for help from those in difficulty in the world and to provide them with aid, whatever expedient means are needed to help people most effectively.
Kuan Yin Bodhisattva, an emanation of Amida Buddha's compassion, is the "Regarder of the Cries of the World". Sometimes referred to in the West as the Goddess of Mercy. Prayers for help arise from thousands of hearts, and thousands of prayers are answered by her vow of eternal compassion: Beings in Samsara, who sail the ocean of suffering, She will guide and deliver safely to the ultimate shore of enlightenment

President Obama, You have been doing a lot of great things during your first year in office. In spite of the many barriers, you have stood strong. It is important to be part of a global community, like the UN. Thank you for all of your efforts so far.
