Many seniors across America are facing a difficult time in the current recession. They struggle with unaffordable housing and health care, along with rising costs for utilities, prescriptions and basic living expenses.
Five million seniors live on less than $10,000 annually and 25 percent survive on social security alone.* The economic crisis has intensified demand for programs and services serving America's older citizens. But still many more are simply falling through the cracks.
Seniors in your state should not be forgotten during this rough economy! Add your name to the list of people who believe seniors should receive the help they need to lead better and more fulfilling lives - with independence, dignity and control.

I am on dissability due to bone cancer and only make 650.00 a month and have to pay on my part about 100-150 a month for my medicine, I live in low income housing ,pay electric bill, rent, and still have to try and buy food .I worked all my life and never expected to have cancer and live in these apts. that dont look like the government could even approve them. I know there is others worse than me, but we have to live too. I did not ask to have cancer and emphesema.

Do u know we r the only country who treat our seniors like crap. If u go to Europe they are treated with the highest respect. Why not do something for them while we have a chance. You spoke so highly of change. Well we have higher taxes less credi for children and now this.
