When our Constitution was first drafted, it made no mention of the special place of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first Australians. They were effectively excluded from our founding document of law.
More than 100 years on, our Constitution still doesn't recognise our first Australians. We need to fix this.
Recognition would help to safeguard something unique and precious about our country -- the fact that we are home to the oldest continuing cultures anywhere on the planet.
Help us unite Australia by recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the constitution.
Sign this pledge to say: Yes! I support Constitutional recognition for all Australians.
Keep up the great work. Look what you've accomplished!
