Create a World Trade Center Memorial Stamp

It was one of the worst moments in our history but it produced some of the greatest acts of courage and kindness - September 11, 2001.

Next year marks the fifth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, and our country should honor the thousands of innocent men, women and children who perished in the horrific attacks.

Please urge the United States Postal Service (USPS) to honor the memory of those who perished in the horrific attacks of February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001 by issuing a stamp commemorating the World Trade Center Memorial, scheduled to open in 2009.

I am writing to urge the United States Postal Service to approve the issuance of a postage stamp to commemorate the World Trade Center Memorial.

Recognition needs to be given to honor the thousands of innocent men, women, and children who lost thier lives in the horrific attacks of February 26, 1993 and September 11, 2001. And we should recognize the endurance of those who survived, the courage of those who risked their lives to save others, and the compassion of all who supported us in our darkest hours.

May the lives remembered, the deeds recognized, and the spirit reawakened be eternal beacons, which reaffirm respect for life, strengthen our resolve to preserve freedom, and inspire an end to hatred, ignorance and intolerance.
