Are you concerned about the environment? Are you willing to commit to making a change? Inspired by the popular documentary, Who Killed the Electric Car?, please sign this petition to let automakers know that you are interested in bringing back the electric car to the consumer market.
We, the following signatories are tired of polluting the world with our transportation. Tired of destroying ecosystems with the locating and excavating of oil reserves. Tired of filthy internal combustion engines. Tired of gas stations and high gasoline prices. Tired of letting the Japanese beat us to the ecological punch. Tired of listening to the government whitewash the Hydrogen Fuel Cell idea. We feel we were never given the chance to purchase the EV-1 the first time around since the availability was so limited and not publicized. You said that it was discontinued and destroyed because consumer demand was non-existent, but no longer. We have seen the light.
The technology already exists. We want the opportunity to choose electric and given the chance, we will purchase (not merely lease) battery vehicles powered solely by plug in power. We are ready to move the U.S. into a cleaner future. Thank you for the opportunity.
