This has been the least popular election in history. Our political system is failing, and it is time to let all voices be heard and to engage with one another as our fellow human beings. Let Donald Trump hear your words.
Dear Mr. Trump,
Your campaign has been run on pandering to your potential constituents on the Right. This does nothing to produce political harmony and has at least the promise of fascism, scapegoating any and all others by generalizing extremists to be the norm. Politics based on fear will never cease, because there will always be the unknown and beyond our control. What is instead politically harmonious is to focus on what is mutually beneficial. Find ways to rebuild America from the ground up. Repair infrastructure, produce jobs on the local level, give communities the opportunity to renew and invigorate themselves by investing in education supporting local commerce.
Politics has for too long been a matter of division, power, and corruption. You have the opportunity to change that, to truly Make America Great Again. Just remember it is OUR America, not just yours, and not just those who elected you. I am not asking for you to give up your conservative values or principles. I am instead asking you to have the courage to start a conversation with those who oppose you, both those who wish you hadn't been elected and those who believe you are taking those values and principles to exaggerrations that will harm this country profoundly, as a nation of free, independent, and diverse people and as a political institution. Please use the political system for the good of ALL, not just the good of SOME.
I also encourage all peitioners to create your own conversation with Donald Trump help and Make America Great For All (#MAGFA). Let your voice be heard. Left, Right, Independent, we must begin a conversation with all sides. It is the only way to progress as a nation.
