Candidates: Make the Environment Part of the National Debate!

URGE THE 2004 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES TO ADDRESS THE ENVIRONMENT!
Global warming, acid rain, polluted waters, and air pollution affect Democrats, Independents and Republicans alike. Over 80% of Americans agree that the environment should be a national priority... yet current policies and legislation have failed to reflect that importance. We must let the candidates vying for the presidency know that environmental issues are of critical importance if they want our votes!

There are significant environmental issues that must be addressed now:
1) Clean Air and Water Standards
2) Toxic Chemicals and Cleanups
3) Public Lands Preservation
4) US Dependence on Dirty Fossil Fuels
5) Threats from Climate Change
6) Wildlife Conservation

Sign now to let the candidates know that Americans want these issues to be a high priority in the presidential campaign. The environment IS a priority, it is time that it becomes part of the national debate!

Your comments will be delivered via email to each of the Presidential candidates.

Dear Candidate:

The environment affects us all! And growing environmental problems affect
our future, our national security, our economy and much more! Over 80% of
the population agrees that the environment is and should be a national
priority. Unfortunately, in the current administration, the environment has
taken a back seat to other issues. I think that it is time for a change.

These significant environmental issues must be addressed now:
1) Clean Air and Water Standards
2) Toxic Chemicals and Cleanups
3) Public Lands Preservation
4) US Dependence on Dirty Fossil Fuels
5) Threats from Climate Change
6) Wildlife Conservation

I urge you to consider these and other major environmental problems, develop
real and lasting solutions, and resolve to ensure that those solutions are
enacted! It is time for the environment to become part of the national
presidential debate. My vote will go to the candidate that will take
environmental problems seriously!
