Stop the British Army slaughtering innocent Black Bears in Canada to supply them with hats.

The British Army are killing hundreds of Canadian Black Bears every year just to supply them with the "ceremonial" black bearskin hat.
Bearskins used for ceremonial purposes
Please support the halt of this abuse of Canadian Black Bears, when a Synthetic alternative could be used.  The British Army claim that the Synthetic furs do not withstand wind & rain as well as bearskins, however they use Synthetic furs in other areas of the army.  Why is this acceptable in other areas and not for Ceremonial use?  These hats are merely to please "tourists" and to keep up with the "pomp & pagentry" of state occasions.  I wonder how many tourists would find the guards so amusing when they are wearing stuch a disgusting thing on their head?  Also the bears when hunted are done by some US/Canadian hunters as a sport, they advise the UK Military are all to happy to splash out on these furs & keep them in booming business.  The bears are sometimes shot with a bow & arrow leaving them to die a slow and painful death.
